Amanda Miles is a mother of twins who writes whenever possible. She was a teacher for fifteen years and that love of educating has compelled her to write books for children. When her son asked
What’s a scab?
like all good teachers, she said she would find out. Research led to ‘Cell Wars’ a series of chapter books that describe what it’s like to be a newly made cell in the human body in a fictional format.
As well as writing and reading and her fascination with the human body, Amanda is the chair of governors at a local school, wife of a workaholic, agony aunt and general peace keeper. She loves to swim, walk and watch films!
